Before you book

“Pay at the property” still needs a closer look

By TopBookingSite · Updated 9 September 2026

Check payment timing, deposits and currency before reserving.

Payment timing and cancellation are separate

Paying at arrival does not automatically make a booking refundable. Read the cancellation terms and check whether a card guarantee, deposit or pre-authorisation may be required before you travel.

Check the currency you will actually pay

A converted display price may be indicative. Find the property’s payment currency, which charges are included, and which taxes or extras are paid separately. Your card provider may apply its own conversion or foreign-transaction charges.

Confirm practical details

Check accepted payment methods, the name required on the card and late-arrival arrangements in the booking conditions. Contact the property or booking provider when something is unclear, and keep the reply with your confirmation.

Always check the terms for your selected offer with the booking provider. Examples are for planning and are not live prices.
