A short checklist for a fair comparison of flights, rooms and rental cars.
For flights
Match the operating flight, travel date, airport and fare conditions. Check baggage by type and weight, seat selection, change conditions and whether separate tickets are involved. Do not treat a different airport or a long connection as equivalent without counting the added time and transport.
For accommodation
Match the property, room type, occupancy, meal plan and cancellation deadline. Check whether the total covers every night and every guest. A refundable room and a prepaid non-refundable room are different products, even when their photographs look identical.
For rental cars
Match pickup and return offices, opening hours, vehicle category, driver age, mileage policy, fuel policy and included protection. Check the deposit and accepted payment-card requirements with the actual rental company before booking. An example vehicle picture does not guarantee that model.
